Favourite DisneyLand Paris Attractions!

Hello everyone,

For todays Blog post we are going to be telling you our favourite attractions at DisneyLand Paris as you can probably know from the title. We hope you enjoy.

It is so hard telling you in order which is our favourite as we cannot pick which one is at the top of list as we do love them all but Molly's two favourites are Crush Coaster and Space Mountain because she loves the speed that they go and the theme of crush coaster as it is very different from other rides at DisneyLand. Rebekah's two favourite are Peter Pan's Flight and Rock'n Rollercoaster because she loves the music for rock'n rollercoaster and Peter Pan's flight because it makes her feel like she is flying and it brings back a lot of happy memories.

We both love meeting the characters and watching the parades as we love that you get to interact with your favourite characters and like seeing all the interesting floats. We also love that you can see all of the characters at the parades as you sometimes can't meet them because they don't do meet and greets or because the queues are too long so this is a good opportunity to see them.

A must have for Molly is going on the dumbo and flying magic carpet rides as they bring back a lot of memories from when I went to Disney with my family when I was a child. A must have for Rebekah is defiantly going on big thunder mountain and she has to have chips from Casey's Corner.

One thing we think you have to do when you go to DisneyLand is to go on It's A Small World as it is a iconic ride and it is suitable for everyone, no matter your age. We also think you have to go on the Mad Hatters Tea Cups because it is a great ride to let your inner child out on and Buzz lightyear Laser Blast ride as it will bring your competitive side out.

If you like big rides and drops you defiantly have to go on Hollywood Tower of Terror as the drops and theme of the ride will be sure to get you screaming. also you have to go on Indiana Jones as the loops and drops will get anyone scared no matter if you are a massive rollercoasters fan.

If you are a Toy Story fan you can not miss going to Toy Story land as it will make you feel like one of the toys in Andy's toy box and there are rides for everyone. The theme of Toy Story Land will make anyone feel like a kid again with the big Buzz Lightyear and the monkeys and iconic lights. Also if you go to Adventure Land you can go through the caves of Skull Rock to make you feel apart of Neverland, which was a must when we went are both huge Peter Pan fans.

One thing we didn't do when we went but we massively regret not doing is going to see some of the shows like Animagique and 25th anniversary show as they both showcase some of your favourite characters and you get to see them sing and dance to all your favourite Disney songs.

Thank you for reading about our favourite DisneyLand Paris attractions, if you have any that we have missed please comment them down below as we would love to hear them. Don't forget to follow us on all of our social medias as we are always posting things. See you next time,

Revision Tips

Hello,

So, it is that type of year again where we are stressing over exams and revising as much as possible. So, we would like to share some tips with you that will help you revise and be prepared for your exams.

First of all, you need to find out the best ways that you revise. For us that is writing out notes and sticking revision notes up on our wall. We also use a lot of A3 paper and use visuals and writing on them to help us remember things. However, this is not beneficial to everyone so you need to think about what type of learner you are and how best you learn.

We also like using our whiteboard to write our notes and teach ourselves using this. We use multiple colours on our whiteboard and in our revision notes as this tends to help things stand out and it helps us to revise what is important in our notes.

We also find that using mind maps for specific subjects is also very helpful. For example, for English we tend to make a mind map for a character and then include all the important quotes from that character in mind map.

For other subjects that use maths and diagrams we like to draw them out with notes on them and stick them up on the walls as this tends to help us revise without realising it as all the notes that are on the wall we are reading every time we are in our room without realising it and so we are revising without fully paying attention to it.

We also struggle to revise in dead silence. We have to have some sound on. Therefore, we often put a film on that we have seen a million times before (normally Harry Potter for Rebekah or Wild Child for Molly) and then we don't get distracted by the film as we are revising. We also like to listen to music when we are revising as it helps us to block everyone else out and focus. Although, sometimes it can be a little distracting and you end up writing the lyrics you are listening to instead of your revision notes or you end up singing along to the song.

We like to learn visually and so use a lot of colour, as we said before, in our notes but we tend to colour co-ordinate as it helps us to know which notes are involving which subject or topic in the subject.

Another tip for revision is to take plenty of breaks as your brain actually can't concentrate for a long period of time. Therefore, we take lots of breaks when we are revising as it allows us to relax and not be stressed out all the time. Therefore, in our breaks we like to get out of the house as we tend to spend a lot of time inside when revising so getting outside for a couple minutes or longer helps us to feel like we have had a break and feel motivated to carry on revising. Exercise is also good as it helps you to release stress and we often take a walk with the dog when on a break to help us exercise and get some fresh air.

Sometimes we record ourselves speaking our notes and then listen to it. This helped us when doing our GCSE's when we had to do speaking exams for language subjects like Welsh and so it allowed us to remember what we had to say. However, this can actually be beneficial in other subjects as you can hear your notes and you are able to remember them like you are ale to remember lyrics to a song.

Thank you for reading. Don't forget to follow our social media accounts and leave a comment on your revision tips as well as what you would like to see us blog about next.

Choosing a University

Hello,

So, we are off to university soon and we wanted to share with you how we picked the universities that we chose as well as give some tips on how to chose the right university. Of Course, not everyone wants to go to university and we understand that and we ourselves even questioned whether we should go to university and whether university was for us and so we will also share with you how we decided that we want to go to university.

So, when we started talking about universities we at first questioned whether we were right for university and whether university would be right for us. Therefore, we had to look at whether we were definitely sure that we wanted to go to university. Therefore, what helped us to decide to go to university was looking at what courses were available to study and seeing whether we were interested in them. We first looked at what we would like to study in higher education as we knew that we would have to study this for 3 years or more and as such needed to pick something that we would enjoy as well as help us get a future career that we wanted.

Once we had looked at the course that we wanted to study we looked at each of the universities courses to see if the modules in the course would interest us as well as the entry requirements for the course. Therefore, we found universities that did our course and looked at the course modules to see if we were interested and then narrowed them down to the universities that had entry requirements that we felt were realistic for us to achieve.

Once we had picked a select few universities that had a course that we like and had entry requirements which were realistic for us to achieve we then looked at each of the universities in detail looking at their teaching standards, student satisfaction, life in the area and of course what every student is concerned with night life. Now for us night life wasn’t actually a big deal but we knew that we didn’t want somewhere which wasn’t completely student orientated as we knew it would not be right for us. However, some people like areas that are not suited towards students and as such it all comes down to what you want. This is also evident as one of us has decided to go to a city university and the other a campus university. Both are very different so we recommend going on open days when possible so that you can see if you like the atmosphere of the university.

We highly recommend that you go on open days as they truly helped us to decide our five choices for our UCAS applications. On a open day you get to speak to the lecturers of the course and get their in put as well as speak to the current students who are doing the course that you want to do. You also get a feel for the university and look around the facilities and also look at where everything is in the university. The best part of an open day for us was looking at the accommodation which is what a lot of students are concerned with. This is important as you will most likely be living there for the majority of the year especially if you are leaving home to go to university.

Once we had got our offers from the universities we then were left with a decision of what university to chose. Therefore, we had to look at a bunch of different things to make the decision. For starters we had to look at the offer that we were given and whether or not we were likely to achieve the offer. We also looked at how we felt on the open day and whether we liked the area and the university. We also looked at the league tables although they did not play a big part in our choice as we wanted to make sure that we chose a university that we liked and not one that was considered to be an amazing university. Finally, we found that thinking about living in the area and being in the university helped as we were able to see where we could see ourselves going. This also came from our parents thoughts as they tend to know us pretty well and so we asked them where they could see us going and this contributed to our decision.

However, you need to make sure that at the end of the day you pick the university that you want as you can get advice and input from other people but it has to be your own decision and we made sure that we took our parents opinion into consideration but also listened to ourselves on where we wanted to go.

We hope this was somewhat helpful for you and if you want to see more posts about our choices for universities and the process we went through and eventually about our universities when we get there then please let us know. Also leave a comment on your own experiences or more posts that you would like to see.

Thank you,

Marvel Mondays!

Hello,

So, Avengers Infinity War was released last Thursday and we are still avoiding all the spoilers before we go and see it for ourselves. However, we then thought of a new blog idea called Marvel Monday.

Marvel Monday will be a series of blog posts where we post about all things marvel. So, if you love superheroes, especially marvel superheroes, then stay tuned for this series.

So, to kick of this series we thought we would talk about some of the best superheroes that are a part of the marvel franchise. These are some of our favourites (of the avengers) so if you have other favourites that we have not mentioned then please leave them in the comments and please no spoilers for infinity war!

First off one of my all time favourite superheroes has got to be Captain America. For some reason Captain America is just a superhero that I love. I have constantly argued with my dad about Captain America being an incredible superhero with his super soldier abilities and his friendship to Bucky, The Winter Soldier.

This brings me onto another loved superhero, in my opinion, the Winter Soldier. I absolutely love the Winter Soldier and think that his story is one of the most interesting stories and his journey as a character is definitely one that shows just how complex the character is.

Another character that we love, and dearly miss, is quicksilver. To say we were gutted by his death is an understatement. We thought quicksilver was a great character and definitely wish that he hadn’t died. In fact we prefer him to his sister and think that he had so much potential in the franchise as a superhero.

Another marvel superhero that we love is Hawkeye. Sure he doesn’t have a super power but his aim with his bow and arrow is super enough. He is also an interesting character and him having a family makes us hope that he is not killed in Infinity War (NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!). Although, we did ship him and Black Widow at one point but now that ship has sailed due to the progression of him as a character and already having a wife and kids.

Lastly, or we will end up naming all the marvel superheroes rather than some of our favourites, we want to finish with a villain and so one of our favourites is Loki. The brother of Thor who we are supposed to hate due to him almost destroying the world and yet we love him too much to hate him.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next weeks Marvel Monday to find out our thoughts on Avengers Infinity War!
